Juniper
The Juniper tree grips the earth and grows, year after year in some of the most inhospitable places. Shaped by the wind and sun, the Junipers trunks become beautiful, enduring sculptures.

Philosophy

We are all unique. While this may sound cliché, it is perhaps one of the most important lessons that I have learned in my years of practice. Each person and each concern that they bring is woven into the fabric of their individual life. As a result, I strive to understand the particulars of each person. Some people come for therapy to heal deep wounds, others come to manage a particular issue, others come to improve their relationships, while still others come to deepen their understanding of themselves and their lives.

I approach my work from a perspective of empowerment, strength, resilience, and hope. I am forever awed by people’s capacity to create profound change in their lives and to live life in a way that feels satisfying. We are all responsible for our own lives, the choices we make, and the paths we choose. However, sometimes old wounds, learned behavior patterns and/or misunderstandings about what constitutes healthy relationships with ourselves and others keeps us from finding the path we long for. My work, and the work of the Juniper Center’s staff is to assist each person who walks through our doors to try and find their way toward that path.

As my practice has grown I have discovered the need to have others working with me who share these same beliefs about people and therapy. The

The Juniper Center

Juniper Center was created with these values and beliefs in mind. Each member of the Center’s staff share these basic values of respect for the individual and a commitment to provide each person who comes to us for assistance with the kind of care that they would want for themselves or for someone they love.
